Astons recently hosted a private investor event at Çırağan Palace Kempinski, overlooking the Bosphorus in Istanbul. It focused on the Athens real estate market, current property opportunities in Greece and residence-by-investment options available to international buyers.
Our Athens team travelled to Istanbul for the occasion, including our real estate experts and Nasos Fousias, Director of the Astons Property Department in Greece. They were joined by Kubilay Yağız Yiğit, Senior Citizenship & Residency Advisor and Head of Astons Türkiye Office, Astons UAE Director Igor Nemtsov, and representatives of Zafido, the Greece-based developer behind projects in our portfolio.
A Closer Look at the Athens Property Market
Across three private sessions, guests explored current market conditions in Athens, the investment potential of different locations and the types of properties currently available. We also discussed how residency by investment works in practice and how different property strategies can suit different goals.
Guests were able to review a selection of projects from the Astons portfolio, including properties starting from €250,000 and homes in some of Athens’ most sought-after areas. The sessions gave investors a clearer picture of how location, property type and budget can shape both the investment and residency strategy.

A key part of the event was the opportunity to speak directly with the developer and our local experts. Guests discussed location selection, transaction steps, taxation, timelines and long-term ownership strategies in individual meetings.
This gave each participant the chance to move beyond general market information and look at opportunities in the context of their own objectives, budget and preferred investment approach.
