Program Requirements

The Grenada citizenship by investment program is very popular with entrepreneurs, investors, and families – especially those seeking an ES-conscious investment. To leverage this opportunity, applicants must satisfy all of the following:

  • Proof of Age: The main applicant must be at least 18, although the Grenada citizenship by investment program does allow for dependents as young as newborns to be added – as well as grandparents of the main investor or spouse.
  • Due Diligence: All applicants must provide a birth certificate, passport from their country of birth, a clean criminal background check [for applicants 18 and older], and establish legal ownership over their investment funds as well as proof the funds originate from legal sources.
  • Investment Tolerance: The Grenada CIP requires a minimum cash investment of $150,000, which increases to $220,000 when opting for the real estate investment route.
  • Investment Hold: The Grenada citizenship program implements a standard hold term of 5 years for real estate investments. Afterwards, you are free to sell without loss of citizenship.
  • Mandatory Interviews: All applicants are required to complete interviews – which can be done remotely. The interviews provide an extra layer of due diligence to verify that the applicants are good candidates for citizenship and positive additions to Grenadian society.
  • Health: Applicants must be of good health to eliminate any potential burdens for the country’s health care system. Applicants are required to provide a medical certificate as part of the application process.
  • Physical Residency: As a citizen, you will of course have the right to live in Grenada. However, this is purely and entirely a matter of personal choice and there is no legal or program requirement to relocate or visit the island.
