EU Residency By Investment

A European residence permit gives a foreigner all the rights of a resident of the country: the ability to freely move around the Schengen countries without a visa, live in any EU country, work, conduct business, gain access to the best schools and universities, quality medicine, acquire and register real estate and movable property (yachts, cars) and qualify for a passport after a few years of permanent residence.

The grounds for obtaining a residence permit are marriage, official employment, family ties, university studies, outstanding achievements. In addition, there is an opportunity to participate in the program for obtaining residency by investment in Europe – such schemes are often called “golden visas”.

This is the fastest way to obtain a residence permit. A person residing in a country with a limited status, an acceptable residence permit or permanent residence, can apply for citizenship through naturalization. Conditions and ways of investing in real estate are individual investments in different countries, but the most profitable is the acquisition of investments.

Residency in Europe

Real estate is the most stable investment option. Housing prices in European countries are growing every year, while the demand for rent is high. The owner of real estate, according to the rules of the investment program, can profitably rent it out, as well as sell it in a few years, while maintaining its resident status. The minimum threshold for investment participation for European programs varies by country.

The Greek Permanent Residency Program offers the lowest cost entry route (from € 250 000) to obtain EU residency for the entire family. The program was launched in 2013. The five-year residence permit may be renewed every five years thereafter provided the applicant still owns the property. Greece offers a straightforward residency route, with no minimum stay requirement

The Portuguese residence permit program involves several investment options: the purchase of real estate in the amount of €280,000 or €500,000, depending on the location and year of construction of the object. It is also possible to make a capital investment into a Portuguese bank account or specifically approved investment options from €1,500,000 or a residence permit by opening a business with the creation of at least 10 jobs.

The purchase of real estate in Malta from 300,000 € also allows you to obtain a residence permit . The alternative is a donation of €98,000 plus property rental of €10,000 in South Malta and Gozo, or €12,000 for parts of the country.

The Cyprus investment program allows you to obtain a permanent residence permit in just two months when buying a property worth €300,000 or more.
