Conditions for participation in the programme

Option 1 / From €500,000 - Investment in company shares

The applicant must invest a minimum of €500,000 in Italian shares to obtain a residence permit (€250,000 is sufficient for innovative start-ups).

Option 2 / From €1,000,000 - Irrevocable donation

The investor may make a non-refundable donation of €1,000,000 to projects of public importance for Italy.

Option 3 / From €2,000,000 - Investment in Italian government bonds

The investor can invest a minimum of €2,000,000 in Italian government bonds.

Additional conditions

Investment period: The investment must be made within 3 months of entering Italy.
Real Estate (Investor Visa Programme): Investors must purchase or rent a residential property in Italy after being approved for the Investor Visa Programme.
Visa validity: The visa is issued for 2 years with the possibility of renewal for an additional 3 years if the investment is maintained.

Process of Obtaining an Italian Residence Permit

Collection and preparation of documents

We will make the process of obtaining a residence permit as smooth and efficient as possible. Together with our team of lawyers, the investor will collect the necessary documents, including the Letter of Intent. The applicant will also receive an Italian tax code (Codice Fiscale).

D visa application and Due Diligence check

The investor and their family members will undergo a due diligence check and will obtain an approval for a residence permit. The Investment Visa Committee will make a decision within 30 days.

Approval and issuance of the visa

The application will be approved by the Italian Committee and the applicant will wait for the visa at the consulate. The residency will be stamped into the passport, with a 2-year validity.

Registration of residence and application for residence permit

Upon arrival in Italy, the applicant will register residence status and apply for a residence permit. Within 3 months of entering the country on a D visa, investments must be made

Opening an Italian bank account

Making investments. The investor transfers the funds for the investment to an Italian bank account.

Obtaining a residence permit.

The investor and his family members receive residence cards.

Permanent Residence Permit and Citizenship

After 5 years of living in Italy, the investor can obtain a permanent residence permit provided they stay in the country for more than 183 days annually. Additionally, after another 5 years of residence with this permit, foreigners can apply for Italian citizenship.
