Purchasing Saint Kitts and Nevis Real Estate
Investing in St. Kitts and Nevis real estate is an excellent opportunity to qualify for citizenship and obtain a second passport in just 2-3 months. The minimum investment required is $200,000-400,000 and must be in government-approved real estate developments.
The $200,000 option is to qualify for St Kitts and Nevis Citizenship through investing in government-approved real estate developments through a joint application. Joint applications can be made alongside another applicant, in which case each principal applicant must invest from $200,000 for a minimum 7-year period.
Alternatively, a single applicant can qualify if investing the higher threshold of $400,000 and is then permitted to resell the investment property after a shorter 5-year term.
Applicants wishing to apply have their funds placed in escrow, which is only released should the citizenship application be approved. This process qualifies the investor for citizenship as well as their spouse, children, parents and grandparents.
Investment properties can be either personal residences or an investment rental property. Many projects on the island offer property management services to facilitate a simple rental system and generate an additional revenue stream.
There are a wide variety of qualifying developments to choose from, ranging from one-bedroom units, eco-condominiums, and hotel suites to luxurious beachfront villas with spectacular ocean views.
This location offers a real estate investment suitable for every applicant, and options such as fractional ownership schemes enable applicants to make a joint purchase with other investors, to expand their collective property portfolios. As an example, an investor may choose to reach the $400,000 investment threshold by investing in a quarter shareholding of a $1.6 million value beachfront villa.
