Due Diligence: All applicants must provide a birth certificate, passport from their country of birth, a clean criminal background check [for applicants 16 and older], and establish legal ownership over their investment funds as well as proof the funds originate from legal sources.
Health: To prevent unnecessary burdens on the country’s health care system, applicants must establish they are of good health by providing a medical certificate as part of the application process.
Investment Tolerance: The main applicant will be required to provide employment records, bank statements, and/or business files to prove they have the funds to cover the total cost of the program, including the investment plus all the related fees .
Representation: The St. Kitts & Nevis government requests that you use a licensed agent (like Astons) throughout the process. You will also be required to show character references and professional letters of recommendation.
Mandated Interviews: All applications for citizenship involve an interview stage. All applicants are required to participate in interviews – but the interview can be done remotely. The interviews are a part of the due diligence layer as a means to verify that the applicants are good candidates for citizenship.
Investment Options: The minimum required cash investment for the St. Kitts and Nevis program is $250,000, but this also depends upon an investor’s chosen investment channel. Investment Options

Citizenship by investment in St. Kitts is available through four options.

To qualify for citizenship, you can either make a government donation of $250,000 or invest in real estate on the island starting from $400,000.

Option 1 / $250,000 — Non-refundable donation to the government fund

Contribution to the Sustainable Island State Contribution.

The donation amount may vary based on the number of dependents included in the main applicant’s application.

If you choose a contribution option, to qualify for citizenship as a single applicant you will be required to make a government donation of $250,000.

$250,000 – the contribution amount for one main applicant or a family of up to 4 people
$25,000 for each additional dependant under 18 years of age
$50,000 for each additional dependant aged 18 or older

Option 2 / $250,000 — Non-refundable donation into an Approved Public Benefit Project

The cost of participation of a family of up to four people is $250,000 (not including state fees).

Option 3 / $325,000 — Developer’s Real Estate

$325,000 — for a single applicant (or one family). The investor becomes the owner of a real estate property. The minimum investment period is 7 years, after which the property can be resold to another participant in the program.

Option 4 / $600,000 — Approved Private Home

There is an option to invest in private homes (Approved Private Home). The investor may purchase a condominium for $325,000 or a house for $600,000.

Once all your original documents are collected and sent to us, citizenship specialists will review your file and prepare it for submission. The complete file will be submitted to the Government of St. Kitts and Nevis via an authorised local agent, as required by law.

Processing of application

Each application is vetted by the Government through a thorough due diligence background check, during which time submitted information is examined and verified.

All applicants will be required to be interviewed – either online or in person.

Receive your pre-approval

Once the application is reviewed by the Government and the decision is made, the applicant will be issued a letter advising of the decision. This letter will be forwarded to you.

Upon completion of the investment your citizenship certificate will be issued, and your passport application submitted on your behalf. No visit to St. Kitts and Nevis is required, your passport will be couriered to your preferred address.
