The São Tomé and Príncipe program unit has officially confirmed: the first passport under the citizenship program has already been issued to an investor.
The program only launched in autumn 2025. Many understandably waited for the first results before starting the process. That stage has now been completed.
Current program statistics:
- Average processing time — about 2.5 months; the unit aims to reduce it to under 2 months.
- Record approval — 4 weeks.
- By the end of December, 27 applications had already been approved (including those from our investors).
Main applicants: Germany, India, Russia, China, and Nigeria — these countries account for about 80% of all applications.
This is an important milestone for the sector: the program has moved from being new to fully operational, confirmed by real cases.
Key Requirements and Features of the Program:
- Participation condition — a non-refundable donation to the National Transformation Fund:
$90,000 — for a single applicant
$95,000 — for a family of 2–4 people
- The application can include: spouse, parents over 55, and children up to 30 years old.
- The passport provides visa-free access to more than 60 countries.
- Fully remote process, with the program unit office located in Dubai, which significantly optimises procedures.
