Dominica to introduce new residency programme for entrepreneurs

Starting from the beginning of 2021, foreign entrepreneurs will be able to obtain Dominica residency through investment, Prime Minister of Dominica Roosevelt Skerrit has announced. "New visa programme for foreign investors will help the economic growth of our country and give our economy new energy", - said Mr. Skerrit.

According to the terms of the new Government Approved programme, an investor can obtain Dominica residency and hold it for two years, and after that period it is possible to become a citizen of Dominica.

There are three investment options available:

  • $50.000 investment into one of the approved companies through an investment fund.

  • $100.000 investment into a newly established enterprise with at least three Dominican employees.

  • Investment into one of the public sector or private companies, chosen and approved by the Government. There are no minimum requirements for investment with this option.

An investor has to spend at least 90 days per year in Dominica and put at least $100.000 in deposit in a local bank. The deposit can be spent in two years.
