The citizenship process takes up to 60 days.

To participate in the Sao Tome and Principe program, the applicant must:

Be over 18 years old at the time of application.
Have no criminal convictions and be in good legal standing.
Be in good health.
Successfully pass a Due Diligence check.

Citizenship for the Whole Family

The Sao Tome and Principe citizenship program allows applicants to include not only their spouse but also children (up to 30 years old if not married), as well as parents over 55 years of age.

To participate in the program, applicants must make a non-refundable contribution to the National Transformation Fund. The contribution amount depends on the number of people included in the application.

Non-refundable contribution: from $90,000 to the National Transformation Fund

$90,000 – for one applicant.
$95,000 – for a family of 2–4 people.

+ $5,000 – for each additional family member.

Additional costs:

Registration fee – $5,000 (depends on the number of people listed in the application).
Citizenship certificate fee – $250 per person.
National ID card fee – $150 per person.
Passport fee – $350 per person.

Oath and Document Issuance

The applicant swears an oath of allegiance to Sao Tome and Principe. Afterwards, certificates of citizenship, national ID, and passports are issued.
